At ACCELERATED, we help patients with a wide range of health issues. On the initial visit, we typically evaluate a patient to determine the most effective way to treat the problem. During the first visit, the physical therapist will likely perform the following tasks:
- Observe and analyze your movement(s)
- Perform joint range of motion measurements
- Test reflexes and/or muscle strength if necessary
- Perform specialized tests to effectively assess the problem
- Provide instructions for home exercise programs
- Identify potential posture and alignment problems
- Consult with other medical professionals
- Recommend a safe time to return to normal activity
